Why an Eco Tour on Lake Seminole?

Lake Seminole is known for its natural beauty and is a nature lover’s paradise made up three tributaries flowing into Lake Seminole. It has three different states on it’s borders, Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Let’s start with the beautiful Flint River, starting near Atlanta, it flows down through south Georgia and into Lake Seminole about 20 miles below Bainbridge, GA. The Chattahoochee River starts in the southern Appalachian Mountains, flows through Atlanta, through Lake Eufaula and ends in Lake Seminole. Last, Spring Creek has numerous springs throughout it’s 76 mile path and where it joins the lake, is full of standing timber and is a treacherous area to maneuver but is a beautiful area.

On some of our Eco tours we have seen Bald Eagles, a cool bridge tunnel, Ospreys nesting, Deer, Gators, Egrets, Redheaded Woodpeckers and more Gators!

While on a recent Eco tour, we saw Ospreys nesting and diving to catch their breakfast, which was an awesome sight to see. We saw Alligators of all sizes, babies and some as long as 13 feet! When the youngsters starting getting restless, we stopped by a Bream bed and caught some nice bream which wore the kids out and provided supper!

Come take an Eco trip with Captain Paul Tyre on Beautiful Lake Seminole, it is a relaxing trip with lots to see and history to hear about! Give us a call to check availability!
